ClinConnect Summary
The Augmented Reality (AR) Hong Kong trial is a study looking at how well anesthesiology residents can handle medical situations using advanced technology. The main goal is to see if residents in Hong Kong can effectively participate in AR simulations, which are virtual training exercises, to assess their skills in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) during emergencies. These simulations will be led by experts from the United States, and they follow established guidelines from the American Heart Association to ensure quality and safety in training.
To join the trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old. However, individuals with severe motion sickness, nausea, a history of seizures, or those who wear corrective glasses (which are not compatible with the AR equipment) will not be eligible. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those who take part can expect an innovative and interactive learning experience that aims to improve their non-technical skills in anesthesiology.
