Lumbar Disc Herniation Dynamic Tape Acute Pain

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at the effects of a technique called dynamic taping on patients with lumbar disc herniation, which is a common back problem that can cause significant pain. The study will focus on whether this taping method can help reduce pain, improve muscle endurance, balance, and overall ability to move and function better in daily life. While previous research has shown that a similar type of tape can help people with chronic back pain, this trial aims to see if dynamic taping can provide immediate benefits for those currently experiencing pain from their condition.

To participate in this study, individuals should be between the ages of 65 and 74, have a confirmed diagnosis of lumbar disc herniation, and have been experiencing pain for at least three months that is rated as moderate or higher on a scale of 0 to 10. Participants will not be eligible if they have certain other health issues, such as previous surgeries on their spine or specific neurological conditions. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive dynamic taping and be assessed on how it affects your pain and physical abilities. This research could help determine if dynamic taping is a helpful treatment option for managing acute pain from lumbar disc herniation.
