ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS), which causes long-lasting pain, fatigue, and other symptoms like sleep problems and difficulty concentrating. The researchers want to understand the different types of pain that people with FMS experience, known as pain phenotypes, and how these types of pain affect their overall health and quality of life. By doing this, the study aims to help doctors provide better treatments tailored to each patient’s specific pain experience.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 to 75 who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia are invited to join. Participants should not be receiving any active physiotherapy treatments and must agree to take part in the study voluntarily. It's important to note that individuals with certain other health conditions, severe mental health issues, or difficulties with reading and hearing cannot participate. Those who join the study can expect to undergo assessments to determine their pain types and how these affect their daily lives, which may help improve future treatments for fibromyalgia.
