ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Hearing Program in Primary Care," is looking into how to better support people with hearing loss during their visits to primary care doctors. The study aims to find out whether providing counseling on useful listening devices, like hearing aids or personal amplifiers, is more helpful than just referring patients to regular hearing specialists. Participants will be chosen at random to receive either the counseling or the traditional referral.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 21 and 914 years old, able to speak English or Spanish, and capable of giving consent to join the research. However, individuals who already use hearing aids or cochlear implants cannot participate. If you take part in this study, you can expect to receive support tailored to your hearing needs and contribute to important research that could improve care for others with similar conditions. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and anyone interested should reach out for more information.
