ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the use of a medication called tranexamic acid (TXA) during breast esthetic surgery, which includes procedures like breast augmentation or reduction. The main goal is to see if TXA can help reduce blood loss during surgery. Researchers want to compare how much blood is lost in patients who receive TXA versus those who do not. By understanding this, they hope to improve safety and outcomes for women undergoing these types of surgeries.

To participate in the trial, women must be between the ages of 18 and 75 and scheduled for breast esthetic surgery. They should be generally healthy, classified as ASA 1 or 2, meaning they have minimal health issues. However, certain conditions will exclude individuals, such as specific weight ranges, history of blood clots, or recent use of certain medications like aspirin or blood thinners. If eligible, participants can expect to be part of a study that aims to improve surgical care and might help reduce complications related to bleeding.
