ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a surgical procedure called robotic transhiatal esophagectomy, which involves removing part or all of the esophagus, the tube that connects your throat to your stomach. The main goal of the study is to gather information about how this surgery affects patients both in the short term and long term. Researchers want to understand the health outcomes after the surgery by looking at data collected before, during, and after the procedure.
To be eligible to participate in this trial, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) who is having this surgery for planned reasons (not an emergency). You may also participate if you have previously had this surgery. However, if you're pregnant, a minor, unable to give consent, or part of a vulnerable group, you won't be able to join. If you do participate, you can expect to be involved in monitoring your health results related to the surgery over time. This study aims to help improve patient care for future surgeries.
