ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the differences in handgrip strength, muscle mass, and blood pressure between children aged 8 to 10 years who are undernourished and those who have normal nutrition. Undernutrition is a significant health issue that affects many children around the world, and it can lead to various health problems, including weak muscles and higher risks of diseases later in life. By measuring things like how strong a child's grip is and how much muscle they have, researchers hope to better understand the impact of undernutrition on children's health and development.
To participate in this study, children must be between 8 and 10 years old, healthy, and willing to join the research with their parents' consent. Children with chronic illnesses or those taking certain medications will not be included. Participants can expect to take part in simple tests that measure their strength and health, helping researchers gather important information about how undernutrition affects kids. This trial is currently recruiting participants in Surabaya, and it aims to shed light on a critical health issue affecting many children today.
