ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well certain measurements can predict low blood pressure after spinal anesthesia during cesarean sections. Specifically, researchers are looking at the "Jugular Vein Collapsibility Index" and various "Shock Indices" to see if they can help doctors identify women who might experience low blood pressure after their surgery. This could lead to earlier treatment and better management of this condition, which is important for the health of both the mother and baby.
To participate in this study, women aged 18 to 45 who are planning to have a cesarean section and can safely receive spinal anesthesia are eligible. However, women with specific pregnancy-related health issues, like preeclampsia or eclampsia, cannot join. If you choose to participate, you will help researchers understand how to improve care during cesarean sections, potentially benefiting future patients. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and your involvement could make a difference in understanding and managing complications during surgery.
