ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the behavior of patients who frequently visit the Emergency Department (ED) at Zuyderland Medical Centre in the Netherlands. The goal is to understand who these frequent visitors are, why they go to the ED so often, and whether they also seek care from other medical services, like General Practitioner Cooperatives (GPC), during out-of-hours. Researchers want to find out how many patients visit the ED four or more times a year and what their health issues are. This information can help improve care and reduce crowding in the emergency department.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be adults aged 18 or older who visited the ED or GPC four or more times in 2022. If you join the study, you'll be part of a review of existing medical data to help answer important questions about frequent ED visits. This research is important because understanding why some patients use emergency services so often can lead to better healthcare solutions and improved patient care overall.
