ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how general anesthesia affects heart function and blood flow during surgery. Researchers want to learn more about what happens to the heart in patients who experience low blood pressure after receiving anesthesia. By studying these changes, the goal is to improve safety and care for patients undergoing surgery with general anesthesia.

To participate in this study, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older who is scheduled for surgery that requires general anesthesia and intubation (a tube placed in your airway to help you breathe). You should have stable blood pressure before the surgery, with a specific measurement called mean arterial pressure (MAP) above 70 mmHg. However, if you have a history of heart problems, are taking certain medications for blood pressure, or are undergoing emergency surgery, you may not be eligible to join the trial. If you participate, you can expect to be closely monitored during and after your surgery to gather important information about how your heart is functioning with the anesthesia.
