ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different surgical methods for treating vaginal vault prolapse in women: laparoscopic (a minimally invasive technique using small incisions) and vaginal approaches. The goal is to see if one method leads to fewer complications than the other. The trial is currently recruiting participants who are between 40 and 80 years old and are undergoing a laparoscopic hysterectomy for conditions like chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, or fibroids, among others.
If you or someone you know is considering participating, it's important to note that women with known cancer are not eligible for this study. Participants can expect to undergo either the laparoscopic or vaginal procedure, and the results will help doctors understand which method might be safer and more effective for patients in the future. This study aims to improve care for women undergoing these surgeries by providing clearer insights into the best surgical options available.
