ClinConnect Summary

The Families Moving Forward (FMF) Connect Pro trial is studying a new way to help mental health providers support families affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). The goal is to see how effective a special version of the FMF Connect app, called "FMF Connect Pro," is when used by mental health providers. In this trial, providers will receive training in two different ways: one method involves live online mentoring over 13 sessions, and the other allows providers to learn at their own pace through a website. The study will compare these two training approaches with a group that does not receive any training at all.

To participate in this trial, providers need to be licensed mental health professionals or supervised trainees who work with children aged 3 to 12 in the United States, and they must be fluent in English and have internet access. Throughout the study, providers will complete online assessments at the start, and again after six and twelve months, to track their progress and changes in their practice. This trial hopes to find out how many providers join and participate, how effective each training method is, and whether these methods help providers make lasting changes in the way they care for families dealing with FASD.
