ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a solution containing CBD (cannabidiol) and CBN (cannabinol) in treating facial pain and headaches that come from muscle issues. Researchers want to find out if these substances can help adults who have been experiencing this kind of pain for more than three months. The trial will involve 42 adult participants, who will be divided into two groups: one will receive the CBD and CBN solution, while the other will receive a placebo (a solution with no active ingredients). Participants will take their assigned solution at home and will have several check-ins over 60 days to assess their pain levels and how well the treatment is working.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults aged 18 and older who have been suffering from facial pain and headaches of muscular origin for over three months. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as severe mental illnesses, cancer, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, will not be able to join. Throughout the study, participants will undergo various tests to measure their pain and muscle activity. This research aims to provide valuable insights into how CBD and CBN might help manage facial pain and headaches, potentially leading to new treatment options in the future.
