Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Cohort Thermal Ablation Recurrence

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the factors that may influence the recurrence of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) after a treatment called thermal ablation. Thermal ablation is a procedure that uses heat to destroy cancer cells in the thyroid. The researchers are gathering various information from patients who have undergone this treatment, including their health data, ultrasound results, and questionnaires about their experiences with fatigue, depression, and stress. The goal is to understand what might lead to the cancer coming back after treatment.

To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a specific type of thyroid nodule that is small and has not spread to nearby lymph nodes. You also need to be able to give informed consent, which means you understand the study and its risks. Participants will be closely monitored and asked to complete surveys about their health and well-being. This research is important as it aims to improve our understanding of PTC and how to better manage it after thermal ablation.
