ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients with pancreatic cancer who are having surgery to remove their tumors. VTE is a serious condition where blood clots form in the veins, and the researchers want to understand how often this happens and what factors might contribute to it in people undergoing pancreatic surgery. The trial is currently looking for participants at the University Hospital of Larissa.
To be eligible for this study, patients must be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and be scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor. Those who have had a blood clot in the last six months, have certain bleeding disorders, or have other serious health issues may not be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo regular assessments to monitor your health and the development of any blood clots during your treatment. Your involvement could help improve care for future patients with pancreatic cancer.
