ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain muscles in the thigh, specifically the vastus medialis and vastus lateralis, activate during a knee examination called the McMurray's test. The researchers will use a technique called electromyography (EMG) to measure the electrical activity of these muscles when the knee is in different positions. The goal is to better understand how these muscles work, which could help in diagnosing knee injuries and chronic pain.
To participate in this study, you need to be a healthy adult between the ages of 18 and 45 with no knee problems in your past. Unfortunately, if you have any conditions that affect your nerves or muscles, or if you cannot undergo EMG testing, you would not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to take part in tests that involve moving your knee while the researchers monitor your muscle activity. This study is currently recruiting participants of all genders, so if you're interested and meet the criteria, you could help contribute to important research in knee health!
