ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the effects of whole-body vibration therapy on patients who are about to have total knee replacement surgery. The goal is to see how this therapy can help reduce pain, swelling, and improve muscle strength and joint movement before the surgery. The researchers want to understand how this treatment might affect patients' overall satisfaction and recovery after their operation.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to have advanced knee osteoarthritis and be scheduled for a single knee replacement. However, those who have had another knee or hip replacement in the past year, have certain medical conditions that prevent them from exercising, or have diseases that impact their physical ability will not be able to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to receive whole-body vibration therapy and then be monitored for various factors related to your knee health before your surgery. This research aims to improve care for patients undergoing knee replacement and help them feel better during their recovery.
