ClinConnect Summary
The PAPILLO-VIH clinical trial is studying how effective HPV testing is for screening cervical cancer in women living with HIV. HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a common virus that can lead to cervical cancer. This trial aims to see if using HPV tests, alongside the usual cell smear tests, can help doctors find cancer earlier and possibly allow for less frequent follow-up visits if the results are negative.
To participate in this study, women must be between the ages of 25 and 65, be living with HIV, and be receiving care at the CHSD maternity ward. Participants will sign a consent form to join the study. If you take part, you can expect to undergo HPV testing and receive care tailored to your health needs. This research could help improve how cervical cancer screening is done for women with HIV in the future.
