ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on finding better ways to help people with spinal cord injuries regain control of their bladder function. Researchers are exploring the effects of using high-frequency electrical stimulation on specific nerves to see if it can improve bladder function without needing to cut any nerves. They will be testing this method on 5-10 participants who already have a device called a Finetech Brindley Bladder controller, which helps manage bladder function.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults aged 18 or older with a complete spinal cord injury who have had the bladder controller implanted. They should also be willing to give their informed consent to participate. Those who have had certain surgeries or are involved in other studies that might affect bladder function will not be able to join. Participants in this trial can expect to be monitored closely as the researchers assess how well the new stimulation technique works compared to the usual method. This study is currently looking for volunteers who meet the criteria and want to help advance treatment options for bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury.
