ClinConnect Summary
The MOSAIC Plus trial is designed to help pregnant women and mothers of young children who have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV). This study aims to find out if a special support program can help reduce feelings of depression and stress after trauma, and also prevent further experiences of violence. The program, called MOSAIC Plus, will last for six months and will involve 15 women who have reported experiencing IPV in the past six months and are showing signs of depression or post-traumatic stress.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old, pregnant, or mothers of children under five years old. They must have experienced IPV recently and have high levels of depression or PTSD symptoms, as measured by specific questionnaires. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it's important for potential participants to know that they will need to be able to share contact information for two people who can help keep track of them during the program. Additionally, participants should be comfortable understanding English well enough to engage with the study materials.
