ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on helping women in the UK Armed Forces who struggle with drinking too much alcohol. While alcohol misuse is a common issue in the military, most support programs have been geared towards men, who make up the majority of the armed forces. This study aims to improve a digital tool called DrinksRation, which helps service members manage and reduce their drinking, by making it more suitable for female veterans. The researchers will be looking for at least 148 female veterans who drink 15 or more units of alcohol a week to take part in the trial.
To be eligible, participants must be women aged 18 or older, live in the UK, and have served in the armed forces. They also need to use a smartphone to download the DrinksRation app. If you join the study, you will help shape a program specifically designed to support female veterans like you. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to be part of a project aimed at creating better resources for women facing challenges with alcohol consumption in the military.
