ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a treatment called muscle energy technique to help people with pain in the jaw muscles, specifically those who have trigger points. Trigger points are tight knots in the muscles that can cause pain and limit how well you can open your mouth. The goal of the trial is to see if this technique can reduce pain and improve mouth opening and overall jaw function.

To participate, you need to be between 25 and 50 years old and have specific symptoms, such as tightness in your jaw muscles and difficulty opening your mouth wider than 40 millimeters. However, if you have fibromyalgia, a history of whiplash, or have had surgery in the neck area, you may not be eligible. If you choose to join the trial, you will receive treatment and help researchers understand how effective this method is for managing your jaw pain.
