ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective two therapy methods, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), are for children and their families who have experienced trauma. The researchers want to understand how these therapies can help, especially for those facing extra challenges related to racial trauma and adjusting to different cultures.
To participate, children and teenagers aged 5 to 17 who have gone through a traumatic experience and are showing signs of emotional difficulties, like PTSD, can join along with one of their parents or guardians. Participants will receive care through the therapies mentioned, and the study aims to see how well these approaches work in helping them heal. It's important to note that individuals with certain severe mental health issues or low intellectual functioning may not be eligible for this trial. If you're interested, this could be a great opportunity for support and healing for your family.
