ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a treatment called functional electrical stimulation (FES) can improve physical activity and quality of life for patients who have paralysis after a thrombectomy, which is a procedure to remove a blood clot from the brain. The researchers are looking for participants aged 18 and older who have had a thrombectomy and are able to communicate. They need to have paralysis in their arms but should not have certain health issues, like a pacemaker or severe muscle problems.
If you or a loved one join this study, you will receive the FES treatment and be monitored to see how it affects your ability to move and your overall well-being. The trial is currently recruiting, and your participation will help researchers understand whether this treatment can be beneficial for those recovering from a thrombectomy. It's important to note that if someone experiences serious complications during the study, they may be excluded to ensure safety.
