ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a special communication technique called Motivational Interviewing can help caregivers who look after individuals with serious mental illnesses, like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Caregiving can be very stressful, leading to feelings of anxiety, guilt, and hopelessness. The goal of this study is to see if this intervention can help caregivers manage their stress and improve their coping skills, which may also benefit the individuals they care for.
To participate in this trial, caregivers must be over 18 years old and have been the primary caregiver for someone receiving services from a Community Mental Health Center for at least six months. The caregiver should not have any other caregiving responsibilities and must not be a paid caregiver. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but if you qualify, you can expect support through conversations focused on your current challenges and goals, helping you feel more empowered in your caregiving role.
