ClinConnect Summary
The TECH App Marijuana Use Intervention trial is designed to help teenagers who are involved in the court system reduce or stop using marijuana. In this study, teens aged 14 to 18 years old will have the chance to use a new smartphone app called TECH. This app creates a safe and private online space where teens can connect with others who are also trying to change their marijuana use. By sharing experiences and support, the goal is to help them make positive changes in their lives. Researchers will also collect information to see how effective the app is and look for ways to improve it.
To participate in this trial, teens must be between 14 and 18 years old, able to read and speak English, have access to a smartphone, and have used cannabis in the past year. If they are minors, they will need permission from a parent or guardian. The study is currently looking for participants and aims to provide them with valuable tools and support as they work toward healthier choices. It’s important to note that teens with certain mental health conditions that might prevent them from fully participating in the study will not be eligible.
