ClinConnect Summary
The "Level Up!" clinical trial is looking at a new one-handed video game controller adapter designed for children who have an upper limb difference, such as an amputation or a congenital condition. The main purpose of the study is to see if this adapter helps kids play video games better and enjoy them more. The trial involves children aged 7 to 17 who have a limb difference on one side. Participants will share information about their gaming experiences, learn to use the adapter, practice with it at home for a week, and then share their thoughts and experiences after using it.
To take part in this trial, children must be between 7 and 17 years old, have a limb difference on one side (which could be due to various reasons), and be able to communicate in English. They will need to attend two appointments at the Rehabilitation Centre for Children in Winnipeg. This is a great opportunity for eligible kids to potentially improve their gaming experience and have fun while doing it!
