ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain diseases, like Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Neuromyelitis Optica, affect the brain and spinal cord over time. Researchers will use MRI scans, blood tests, and samples from the spinal fluid to learn more about the changes happening in the brain and how these changes relate to the symptoms that patients experience. They want to understand the underlying causes of these changes and how they might impact patients' health in the future. Participants will have check-ups and tests at different times over six years, and some may have additional MRI scans if new issues arise.
To be eligible for the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, able to give consent in English, and able to undergo an MRI scan. Unfortunately, if you are pregnant or have certain medical conditions that prevent you from having an MRI, you cannot participate. If you join the study, you will help researchers gather important information that could improve understanding and treatment of these conditions. Your participation could make a difference for future patients with similar diseases.
