ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on improving how veterans with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) can use virtual care services, like telehealth and mobile apps, to manage their condition. The goal is to create an easy-to-understand support program called VC-OPTIONS, which will help patients learn about the available virtual care options and how to use them effectively. The study will start by testing this program to see if it is helpful and acceptable for patients. Participants will receive information through a texting service to empower them with knowledge about these virtual care services.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be U.S. veterans who use the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) services, have a diagnosis of COPD, can speak and understand English, and own a phone that can send and receive text messages. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who join can expect to receive support in learning how to better manage their health through virtual care options. This initiative aims to raise awareness and improve communication about virtual care, making it easier for patients to access the help they need for COPD management.
