ClinConnect Summary
The Remote Study is a clinical trial looking at how online exercise programs can improve the quality of life for men with prostate cancer. Since many patients have limited access to personalized exercise guidance, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, researchers believe that remote exercise training could be a helpful solution. This study will last for 8 weeks and includes one supervised online exercise session each week, along with the option for patients to do additional unsupervised exercises at home. It aims to see if this approach helps prostate cancer patients feel better and whether it can be offered to more men in the future.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be men with prostate cancer who are on long-term hormone therapy, such as certain medications or treatments. However, those currently receiving chemotherapy or radiation, or who have specific health risks, may not qualify. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in a supportive exercise program designed to fit your needs, all while connecting with a professional remotely. This trial could be an important step in helping prostate cancer patients find effective ways to stay active and improve their well-being.
