ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment method called auricular vagus stimulation for patients who have experienced a specific type of heart attack known as ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The goal is to see if this non-invasive technique can help protect the heart and improve recovery after a heart attack. Current treatments are effective but there are still many patients who face serious health issues or even death after a heart attack, so researchers are looking for additional ways to help.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be adults who have had a STEMI heart attack and are receiving treatment within 12 hours of their symptoms starting. They should not have severe heart failure or certain heart rhythm problems. Participants will be monitored closely during the study to see how well the vagus nerve stimulation works and if it leads to better long-term heart health. If you or a loved one is considering joining this trial, it’s a chance to contribute to research that may improve outcomes for future heart attack patients.
