ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different types of stents (small tubes) used to help patients with malignant ureteral obstruction, a condition where cancer causes blockages in the ureters, which are the tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder. The researchers want to find out if using two smaller stents together (called tandem stents) is more effective and comfortable than using one larger silicone stent. They will look at how often the stents fail, how comfortable patients feel, their quality of life, and how long they live after treatment.
To be eligible for this trial, patients must have malignant ureteral obstructions. However, those with blockages from other causes or who have trouble understanding the study may not qualify. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who join can expect to be monitored closely to see how well the stents work for them. This study aims to improve treatment options for patients facing these challenging conditions.
