ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how often a liver condition called Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) occurs in patients who have psoriasis, a skin condition that causes red, itchy patches. Researchers want to measure certain substances in the blood that can indicate inflammation, which is the body's response to injury or illness. They will specifically be looking at both pro-inflammatory substances, which can promote inflammation, and anti-inflammatory substances, which help reduce it.

To participate in the trial, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) who has psoriasis and has not received any treatment for it yet. Unfortunately, people under 18, those who have diabetes, or those who have already been treated for psoriasis won't be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to have some blood tests done to check the levels of these substances. This research could help doctors understand the connection between psoriasis and liver health better, which might lead to improved care for patients in the future.
