ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring a new method called ultrahigh-frequency ultrasonography (UHFUS) to detect small areas in the lungs that may indicate early signs of problems, specifically looking for ground glass opacities (GGOs). These GGOs can sometimes be signs of lung nodules, which are small growths that need to be checked more closely. The study will involve patients who need surgery to remove certain lung nodules. Researchers want to see how well UHFUS works in finding these small areas compared to traditional methods, and they will analyze how accurate the measurements are.

To participate in this trial, patients must have nodules that doctors have identified as needing surgical removal and be willing to undergo a specific type of surgery. The trial is open to all genders and is currently recruiting participants. Those who join can expect to have their nodules examined using UHFUS, along with other standard methods, during their surgery. It's important to note that patients who refuse to enroll in the trial or have nodules that can be marked during the operation will not be eligible. This study aims to improve how doctors detect lung issues early on, potentially leading to better outcomes for patients.
