ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating whether an online program, based on a type of therapy called Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), can help adults reduce their alcohol consumption and improve their emotional well-being. The study aims to see how effective and acceptable this internet-based skills training is for people who drink alcohol and are looking to make a change in their lives. Researchers will also gather feedback from participants to understand their experiences with the program.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be Hong Kong Chinese adults aged 18 and older, have a certain level of alcohol use as identified by a screening tool, and show signs of emotional distress like anxiety or depression. They should also want to stop drinking and have access to an electronic device for online sessions. However, individuals with serious mental health issues or those already involved in other alcohol-related programs cannot participate. If you join, you can expect to learn new skills to help manage your drinking and improve your emotional health through guided online sessions.
