ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a procedure called arthroscopic release, which aims to help children with a condition known as brachial plexus palsy. This condition can cause tightness in the shoulder, making it hard for the arm to move normally. The goal of the study is to see how effective this specific type of surgery is in improving shoulder movement without needing additional procedures like tendon transfers.

To be eligible for the trial, children between the ages of 1 and 15 who have a brachial plexus injury and experience tightness in their shoulder may participate. However, children with certain other conditions, such as an infected shoulder or specific dislocations, will not be included. Participants in this trial can expect to undergo the arthroscopic release procedure and will be monitored to evaluate how well this treatment improves their shoulder function. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it represents an important step in finding better treatments for children facing these challenges.
