ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of electroacupuncture as an additional treatment for women with overactive bladder (OAB). OAB can cause frequent and urgent feelings of needing to urinate, which can be challenging and affect a woman's daily life and emotional well-being. The trial aims to see if using specific acupuncture points, based on traditional Chinese medicine, can help improve urinary symptoms and overall quality of life for women already receiving standard treatments.
To participate in this study, women aged 20 to 80 with OAB may be eligible, as long as they do not have certain health issues, like a history of cancer or stroke, and are not pregnant. Participants will receive electroacupuncture therapy along with their usual treatment, and the study will monitor their symptoms and quality of life. It’s important to know that this trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to explore a different approach to managing OAB.
