ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how primary immunodeficiency diseases (PID) affect children’s exercise abilities, physical activity, and overall quality of life. The researchers want to compare children with PID to healthy children to see how factors like breathing, muscle strength, and daily activities differ between the two groups. The study will include 26 children with PID and 26 healthy children, all between the ages of 6 and 18, and it aims to gather important information about how these conditions impact young patients.
To participate, children with PID must be receiving standard medical treatment and be between 6 and 18 years old. Healthy children in the same age range, who do not have any chronic diseases, can also join the study. During the trial, participants will undergo various tests to measure their exercise capacity and physical health. It’s important to note that children with certain conditions, like recent infections or serious muscle or nerve issues, will not be included in the study. Overall, this research hopes to provide valuable insights into how children with PID can improve their health and well-being.
