ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to manage pain for children undergoing a specific type of surgery called thoracotomy, which involves opening the chest to access the organs inside. The researchers want to see how effective a pain relief technique called the "Mid-transverse Process to Pleura Block" is when guided by ultrasound. This method aims to reduce pain after surgery, helping children recover more comfortably.
To participate in this study, children aged 5 to 15 years who are scheduled for this surgery may be eligible, provided they are in good health (physical status I or II). However, there are some important reasons that might prevent a child from joining, such as if the parents do not agree to the study, if the child has had this surgery before, or if there are any allergies to the medications used in the study. Participants can expect to receive careful monitoring and support during the trial, and the study aims to improve pain management for kids after surgery. It’s important to note that this trial is currently not recruiting participants.
