ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how long patients need to lie face down after surgery to fix a macular hole, which is a small gap in the retina at the back of the eye. After surgery, patients typically have to maintain a face-down position to help the eye heal properly. This trial will compare two different time frames—3 days versus 7 days of face-down positioning—to see which duration leads to better healing and patient outcomes, such as improved vision and quality of life.

To participate in this study, you must be between 65 and 74 years old and have a specific type of macular hole that has been present for less than six months. You also need to agree to take part in the trial. Participants will receive care for their macular hole and will be monitored for how well their vision improves and if any complications arise. This trial is important because it will help shape future research on the best practices for treating macular holes effectively.
