ClinConnect Summary
The Center M trial is studying a new digital health program designed to help women dealing with perinatal depression, which is depression that occurs during pregnancy or shortly after giving birth. This program offers an alternative to traditional therapy by using a smartphone app to provide support and resources, making it easier for participants to access help from home. The trial will compare this new digital approach with standard treatment options to see how effective it can be in improving mental health for pregnant women.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be women aged 18 to 50 who are currently pregnant and can speak English. They also need to be able to join online group meetings. However, those who have previously participated in similar mindfulness programs won't be able to join. If you take part in the trial, you can expect to use an app for your treatment, attend virtual group sessions, and receive digital materials to help you manage your symptoms. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to find out if this innovative approach can make a difference in treating perinatal depression.
