ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Strategy of Turning Performance in Individuals With Stroke," is exploring how different types of exercise training can help people who have had a stroke improve their balance and mobility. The study involves 30 adults aged 18 and older who have experienced a stroke at least six months ago. To be eligible, participants should have some ability to walk and be in a specific stage of recovery. However, those with cognitive issues, certain vision or hearing problems, or other serious health conditions that could affect their ability to participate will not be included.
Participants in the trial will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will engage in a fun, game-based exercise program focused on improving balance, while the other group will do more traditional exercises to strengthen their upper body and trunk. Over four weeks, each group will meet three times a week for one hour. This study aims to see which type of training is more effective in helping individuals regain their mobility after a stroke, and everyone involved will contribute valuable information to help improve recovery strategies for future stroke patients.
