ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special type of exercise called blood flow-restricted training to see if it can help people with lateral elbow tendinopathy, commonly known as tennis elbow. The researchers believe that this training can strengthen the muscles without putting too much stress on the injured tendon, which may help with healing. Participants in the study will take part in an 8-week program that includes this training along with physiotherapy sessions, where the blood flow to the arm will be carefully limited to promote recovery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 18 and 65 years old and have a diagnosis of lateral tendinopathy with a score of 33 or higher on a specific elbow assessment test. However, people with certain conditions, like arthritis, severe shoulder problems, or heart disease, will not be able to join. If you participate, you can expect to follow a structured exercise plan for a couple of months, with support from healthcare professionals to guide you through the process. This study is currently recruiting participants, so if you're looking for new treatment options for elbow pain, this could be a great opportunity to consider.
