ClinConnect Summary
The Partners in Children's Health trial is studying how a special program can help improve the health of low-income Latino children who are 9 months old. This program, called Attachment Biobehavioral Catch-Up (ABC), focuses on strengthening the bond between parents and their children. Researchers want to see if children who participate in ABC experience fewer common illnesses, better sleep, and healthier growth compared to those who receive a different program called Home Book-of-the-Week (HBOW).
To be eligible for this study, mothers must identify as Latina, speak English or Spanish, and have a child who is enrolled in Medicaid. The child must be 9 months old and cannot have been born too early or have serious medical issues that might affect their participation. If selected, families can expect to be involved in activities that support their child's health and development, and they'll be contributing to important research that aims to help other children in similar situations.
