ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to help patients with diabetic foot ulcers, which are sores that can develop on the feet of people with diabetes. The main goal is to create a peer support program where patients can connect with others who understand their challenges. By doing this, the researchers hope to improve how these ulcers are treated and to address differences in care that some groups of people face based on their race, income, and where they live.
To participate in this trial, you need to be over 18 years old and have a new diabetic foot ulcer that has been present for less than six months. You should be able to speak either English or Spanish and be willing to join the program. If you decide to take part, you will receive support from other patients who have similar experiences, which can help you manage your condition better. The trial is currently looking for volunteers, and your involvement could make a difference in understanding and improving care for diabetic foot ulcers.
