ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how a school-based program can help prevent substance abuse among adolescents in Pokhara, Nepal. The study aims to see what teachers, parents, and students think about preventing substance abuse, and to test a special training program called the School-based Substance Abuse Prevention Programme (SSPP). This program includes different activities like education, role-playing, and storytelling to help students recognize the dangers of substance abuse, develop a positive attitude towards staying drug-free, resist peer pressure, and build important life skills.
To participate in this study, adolescents aged 13 to 15 years who are attending selected public schools in Pokhara can enroll. They will take part in engaging activities designed to empower them against substance abuse. It's important to know that only students who are willing to give their permission, along with their parents, can join. This trial is currently looking for participants, and it offers a unique opportunity for young people to learn valuable skills in a supportive school environment.
