ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using an activity tracker with motivational feedback can help patients become more active after knee surgery. The study involves patients who are scheduled for total or partial knee replacement surgery. Researchers want to find out if those who receive encouragement through their activity tracker will be more active and experience better outcomes, such as improved physical function and a quicker return to work, compared to those who only track their activity without any feedback.
To participate, individuals should be between 40 and 85 years old and scheduled for knee surgery. They need to understand both spoken and written Danish. If you join the trial, you will either receive an activity tracker with motivational feedback or continue with standard care, which means tracking your activity without added encouragement. This trial will help us learn more about how staying active before and after surgery can impact recovery and quality of life. If you don’t want to be in the trial or aren’t eligible, you might still be able to join a separate study that looks at similar questions without the intervention.
