ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how effective a specific exercise program, called proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), is for patients recovering from total hip replacement surgery (also known as hip arthroplasty). The study aims to see if adding this exercise program to regular care helps reduce pain, improve balance, and enhance overall recovery for patients. Volunteers aged 60 and older who have had a hip replacement surgery at least six weeks prior can participate, as long as they meet certain health criteria.
Participants in the study will have evaluations done at the Fethiye State Hospital to assess their pain levels, mobility, and balance, first six weeks after surgery and again two months later. The trial is currently looking for at least 42 patients to join, and all participants will need to agree to the study by signing a consent form. It’s important to note that individuals with certain health conditions or previous surgeries may not be eligible. Overall, this trial is a chance to help improve recovery strategies for hip replacement patients.
