ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how to manage uterine fibroids in pregnant women who are experiencing symptoms. Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths in the uterus that can cause discomfort and complications during pregnancy. As more women are found to have both fibroids and pregnancy, doctors need to understand the best ways to treat these patients to ensure a safer pregnancy.

To be eligible for this study, women must have large or giant fibroids that are affecting their ability to continue their pregnancy or causing severe discomfort, such as pain or problems with urination or bowel movements. Women who are interested in participating can expect to undergo a surgical procedure called laparotomic myomectomy, which involves removing the fibroids to help improve their condition. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it is important to note that women who do not have urgent medical needs for this surgery or who choose not to participate will not be included in the study.
