ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a type of therapy called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) on nurses who are experiencing ongoing health issues after recovering from COVID-19. Many nurses have reported problems like trouble sleeping, anxiety, depression, and pain after their illness. While medications can help, they may lead to issues with dependency. This study aims to see if CBT-I can improve these symptoms without the risks associated with medication.
To participate, nurses who have these post-COVID-19 conditions can join the trial, as long as they do not have certain sleep disorders or other specific health issues. In the study, 100 nurses will be randomly divided into two groups: one receiving CBT-I and the other receiving standard care. The therapy will last for six weeks, and researchers will check in with participants over the next three months to see how their sleep, mood, and overall health change. This trial could be important for finding safer ways to help nurses recover from the challenges they face after COVID-19.
